ADRA Community Centre Blacktown

For over a decade, the ADRA Community Centre in Blacktown has been offering free counselling and general support services to individuals and families in Western Sydney. ADRA Community Centre Blacktown is a not-for-profit organisation. We are part of the broader ADRA Australia network of projects, present in Australia and internationally. ADRA Australia works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action.

Free Support Services

Counselling Services

Individual and couple counselling for those experiencing crises, emotional distress and mental health issues.

Breaking the Cycle

Working with offenders and their families to help break the cycle of violence and criminal behaviour.

Case Management

Various needs assessment, advocacy, case planning & referral.

Accommodation & Rehab Referral

For services which the ADRA Community Centre Blacktown does not provide (such as accommodation, detoxification or drug and alcohol rehab), we will try and make referrals to more suitable services

Emergency Food

Emergency food parcels for those in short-term crisis.

Chaplaincy Services

Our chaplaincy service seeks to provide for the spiritual and emotional needs of all of our residents and clients in the community.

Your donation of $30 per month will enable ADRA Australia to provide a month of free counselling to an individual or family in crisis. One-off donations of any amount also provide valued assistance.

Volunteer

Getting Here

Location
ADRA Community Centre Blacktown is located in an arcade, 24-44 Main Street. The entrance to the arcade is off Main St between the Phillipine Take Away and the bakery. After turning into the arcade, about 10 metres in, you will find a staircase. Take the stairs to level 2 and continue straight to enter the centre’s reception.

Trains
The nearest train station is Blacktown. It is an easy and mostly level approximately four minute walk until you reach the arcade the Community Centre is located in. See Location instructions above for further direction.

Buses
For bus services arriving in Blacktown, alight at the Blacktown Interchange – Stand 15/16 and walk about 8 minutes along Main St until you reach the arcade the Community Centre is located in. See Location instructions above for further direction.

Parking
Blacktown Westpoint is approximately a 10 minute walk from the Community Centre. Parking is free for up to 3 hours. After parking, exit the Westpoint Shopping Centre following signs to the Blacktown Train Station and then follow Main St until you reach the arcade the Community Centre is located in. See Location instructions above for further direction.

Food Relief Services are open from 10:00 — 12:00, and re-opens at 2:00 — 5:00
