Call and book an appointment

Ring us on 📞 02 9622 7188 and tell us:

  • your name and phone number
  • your reason for referral
  • the most convenient time for you to attend

You will be placed on a waiting list and contacted as soon as possible with an available appointment.

Your first assessment

Counselling begins with a 45 to 60 minute assessment.

We will talk about the problems you are facing, your past history and how you grew up, and we will learn what your needs and goals are.

Our focus is on creating a comfortable environment for you. At times, two clinicians will conduct the first assessment.

At your first visit you will be asked to fill out a form with basic information about yourself and sign a form to consent to receiving our service. If you were referred by an external source, such as your doctor or a probation and parole officer, you may also need to sign a “Consent to Release Information” form. This lets us communicate with your referrer once your needs have been addressed and your goals met.

Ongoing sessions

Sessions are then held weekly or fortnightly until your goals are met. Most people attend around 6 to 10 sessions, but there is no limit.

If you cannot make an appointment

Please let us know the day before. If an appointment is missed without notice on three occasions, the service may be cancelled.

Support Letters

Provided free of charge if you need one.

Detailed Reports

These may incur a minimal cost.

A Common

Myth

A set number of sessions can fix everything

This is not true. Growing is a continual journey, and everyone moves at their own pace.
